Student Data Notice
Effective date: 2026.10.19
When you add a student to PapaGuǎn, you enter personal data about a child and their parent or guardian: names, and a phone number or email. Your academy decides what is collected and why, and is responsible for it under the laws and regulations that apply where it operates. PapaGuǎn stores and processes these details on your academy's behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
What you confirm
By ticking the box when you add a student, you confirm on behalf of your academy that:
- You have told the parent or guardian what details you are entering, why (managing classes, sharing lesson videos and reporting progress), and that they are stored with PapaGuǎn.
- You have their consent, or another basis the local laws accept, to hold these details. Where the laws require a parent's or guardian's consent for a minor's data, you have it.
- You enter only what is needed: the student's name and one way to reach the parent or guardian.
- You keep the details accurate, and correct them when the family asks.
- You remove them when they are no longer needed. Archive a student who leaves, and erase their record when the family asks or your records policy allows.
- You limit who can see parent contact details to staff who need them. The academy owner can restrict them in the console's Provider Settings.
Lesson recordings
If your lessons are recorded and the student appears in them, you have also told the family and have any consent the local laws require.
Questions
Families should contact your academy first. For questions about how PapaGuǎn handles this data, see our Privacy Policy.
